The short version
I'm Samuel — an Engineering Lead and Sr. Software Engineer with 5+ years building scalable, high-performance software for financial institutions.. I've shipped RESTful APIs for digital lending, capital markets, claims, payments, and procurement — systems that move real money under real regulation — and today I lead an engineering team: technical direction, architecture, code reviews, and mentorship.
Alongside the engineering, I've spent years in technical presales and enterprise delivery, sitting with decision-makers to shape solutions before a line of code is written. Most projects don't fail in the code — they fail in the gap between what was promised and what was scoped. I work in that gap: nothing gets lost in translation between the commercial conversation and the build.
In 2026 I founded Emberquill Solutions to formalize that way of working — senior-led engagements where the person who scoped your project is the person delivering it. I hold the AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification and a BSc in Computer Science.
